With her acting prowess, choice of stories and fearless personality, actress Shefali Shah has always managed to win hearts. Be it ‘Jalsa’ or ‘Delhi Crime’ or ‘Darlings’, Shefali is mainly known for playing strong roles on screen. However, this time in the film ‘Three of Us’ she will be seen playing the character of a woman who is vulnerable.
Talking about her character ‘Sailaja’ in ‘Three of Us’ at the 53rd International Film Festival of India (IFFI), Shefali said, “I was originally told the script as a one liner. A vulnerable and fragile woman. . That’s the beauty of character. But just because I’m strong doesn’t mean I can’t be weak. Both are beautiful. Why should one choose between the two? Strength and vulnerability reside within each of us.”
“Also, many people believe that I only play strong roles…but people need to understand that if there is strength, it doesn’t mean I can’t be weak,” she added. Directed by Avinash Arun, ‘Three of Us’ also stars Jaideep Ahlawat. It is a relationship drama and also stars actor-lyricist Swanand Kirkire in the third lead.
