Swami Vivekananda was a social reformer and a spiritual leader. What his accomplishments were, still stands out today and dates back to the 1880s. Swami Vivekananda, a prominent spiritual leader and influential thinker of our country, was born on January 12, and this day is commemorated in his honor. January 12 is celebrated in India as the National Youth Day in celebration of Swami Vivekananda’s birth anniversary. It is also known as Vivekananda Jayanti or Rashtriya Yuva Diwas.
