Mukesh Ambani, chairman of Reliance Industries and Asia’s richest man, is continuously expanding his business. They struck a deal to enter the cola market last year by announcing the launch of 3 flavors of Reliance’s most famous brand Campa Cola in the 70s after Holi. After this, price competition is being seen in the cola market. Along with this, some companies have started reducing their prices.

Campa Cola deal for 22 crores

In 2022, Reliance Consumer Products bought Campa Cola from Pure Drinks Group for Rs 22 crore. Following the deal, the product launch was initially planned for Diwali, but was also pushed to Holi 2023. A few days ago, the 50-year-old iconic beverage brand launched Campa Col in Orange, Lemon and Cola flavours. It is already in direct competition with Pepsi, Coca-Cola and Sprite in the market.

coca cola cut prices

After the launch of 3 flavors of Campa Cola other companies with names in the cola market have come under pressure. Due to these rising temperatures and increasing demand for soft drinks, Coca-Cola has decided to reduce the prices of its products, especially in the states where the stock is lowest. According to the information, the company has reduced the price of 200 ml bottle by Rs 5.

Prices have come down in these states

According to the information received, after the decision of Coca-Cola company to reduce the price, in states like Madhya Pradesh, Telangana and Maharashtra, the price of 200 ml bottle used to be Rs 15 and now its price has been reduced to Rs 10. Along with this, the crate deposit given by the vendors to keep the glass bottles of Coca Cola has also been waived off. Which usually ranges between Rs 50 to Rs 100.

The grand return of ‘The Great Indian Test’

Significantly, Campa Cola is India’s own brand in the sparkling beverage category. Pure Drinks Group was the sole distributor of Coca-Cola in India from 1949 to the early 1970s. Subsequently, after Coca-Cola’s exit from the country, Pure Drinks also launched its own brand, Campa Cola, and also became the top brand in the region. Earlier his slogan ‘The Great Indian Test’ was discussed which seems to be making a comeback.
