The Finance Department said in a statement that the Department of Expenditure has released the fifth installment of PDRD grant of Rs.7183.42 crore to 14 states.

Fifteenth Finance Commission has given PDRD grant for 2022-23 to 14 states. 86,201 crore was recommended. This amount will be given to these states in 12 equal installments.

The ministry said that with the release of the fifth installment in the month of August, a total PDRD grant of Rs 35,917.08 crore has been released so far in 2022-23.
