A New Era for Delhi: Amit Shah
Union Home Minister Amit Shah hailed the election results as the beginning of a transformative phase for Delhi, marking an end to what he described as an era of falsehoods, deceit, and corruption.
As BJP celebrated its return to power in the city after nearly 27 years, senior party leaders lauded PM Modi’s leadership. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh highlighted the necessity of a developed Delhi to achieve the broader vision of a developed India.
“The double-engine government will accelerate Delhi’s development to new heights,” Singh wrote on X.
Shah, who played a crucial role in orchestrating the BJP’s election strategy, also took to X, asserting that under Modi’s leadership, Delhi would evolve into an ideal capital. He reiterated the party’s commitment to fulfilling its promises and making Delhi the best capital city in the world.
People Have Rejected False Promises, Says Shah
Shah emphasized that Delhi’s residents had rejected misleading assurances and instead cast their votes based on pressing civic issues such as the polluted Yamuna, poor drinking water quality, broken roads, overflowing sewers, and the proliferation of liquor outlets.
“Be it women’s safety, the dignity of unauthorized colony residents, or the vast opportunities for self-employment—Delhi will now transform into an exemplary capital under Modi’s leadership,” he asserted.
BJP’s Model of Good Governance Triumphs: JP Nadda
BJP President JP Nadda credited the party’s victory to the unwavering trust of the people in its governance model, which prioritizes service, development, welfare of the underprivileged, and effective administration under PM Modi’s leadership.
He criticized the outgoing Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government, accusing it of rampant corruption, misgovernance, and appeasement politics.
“The ‘AAP-da’ government in Delhi had crossed all limits of deceit and fraud. The city is now free from their lies and is stepping into a new era of progress and dignity,” Nadda remarked.
Calling the victory "historic," Nadda concluded, “This mandate reflects the people's confidence in Prime Minister Modi’s vision for a brighter, more progressive Delhi.”
