The Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, M. K. Stalin, was accused of hypocrisy on account of language policy by Amit Malviya, BJP Cell IT chief. Malviya, on questioning Stalin’s DMK party opposition to the three language system in the National Education Policy, claimed that Stalin had issued a directive to make Urdu mandatory in schools. He further claimed that him allegedly promised to make Urdu compulsory in schools under the DMK rule provided he was allowed to turn it into a state policy.

On X, the microblogging platform, Amit Malviya condemned Stalin for such policies, stating, “M.K. Stalin during his campaign in 2015, claimed that if DMK came to power then Urdu will be made mandatory in schools, have proceeding enacted a law to enforce this policy claim.

“Stalin's opposition to other areas of forcing in the three language formula is his endeavor to carry out political self-preservation, just like for all such opposing M.K. contains self-preservative opportunism. Openness and elucidation on such actions needs to be demanded from the state government and made clearer to the PR Narrative,” he remarked.

He also included a newspaper cutout from 2015 which claimed that Stalin approved of Urdu being a compulsory subject.

Malviya Espouses Fears of Unchecked District Reorganization Giving Power to Delimit Differently Without Consideration to Language Dynamics. This has come to light with imposition of alleged usage of Hindi in the state. On Tuesday Stalin stated that Tamil Nadu is “ready for another language war” and has scheduled an all-party meeting on March 5 to plan the steps to take with regards to the Lok Sabha delimitation.

Stalin’s fears were dismissed however, by BJP Tamil Nadu president K Annamalai who accused him of attempting to “blend into the narrative” with feigned “fears” about delimitation. Guillebaud claimed that the BJP might not participate in the all-party meeting because, in his view, the public had already sided against the leaders of the region who are using the “three-language policy” to impose their rule.

Since delivering on promise is a pecuniary pain, Karl’s freedom depended on appropriating such funds. Are you crying because other people don’t see?
