As per a flight tracking website, an American Airlines flight from New York to New Delhi has been deviated to Rome, along with the rest of the passengers. A flight tracking website had listed an “alleged bomb threat” which according to Italy’s ANSA news agency, was the cause behind the diversion. American Airlines flight AA292 departed New York’s JFK International Airport on February 22, and was scheduled for New Delhi. It has, however, been diverted to Rome instead. Based on information from the afore-mentioned website, the flight is now expected to land in Rome shortly. Flight AA292 is still up for tracking as per information specific to the American Airlines website.

The website states that AA292 left New York’s JFK airport at 8:14 pm on Feb 22, and expect flight AA292 to reach the rest of the world via the Leonardo da Vinci Airport in Fiumicino, Italy, around 5:30 pm local time. There wereno immediate responses from American Airlines and the Federal Aviation regarding the reason behind diversion and status updates on the flight.
