According to the police, a bus collided with a tractor trolley filled with bricks in Punjab's Jalandhar district, killing four people and injuring eleven others on Monday.
As reported by the police, the accident happened in Jalandhar near the Kala Bakra area while the bus was coming from Rajasthan and heading to Jammu.
The police informed that the bus hit the tractor-trolley when it was merging onto the Jalandhar-Pathankot highway from a village road. The bus's driver and a passenger died instantly, while two others succumbed to their injuries in the hospital.
The police reported that the wounded were taken to a local hospital for care. In other news, Punjab’s Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann shared his condolences regarding the death of passengers in the accident.
"We offer our deepest condolences to the family members of the deceased and pray for the quick healing of those injured," Mann wrote on X. He commended the Punjab police’s ‘Sadak Surakhya Force’ for on-scene help provided to the casualties.
