New Delhi: The only similarity between former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and yesteryear’s famous actor Dev Anand is their birthday. However, no one can deny that both of them achieved great success in their respective fields. Former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh was born on 26 September 1932. He was the Prime Minister of the country between 2004 and 2014. Dr. Singh, an accomplished economist, is also credited with the economic reforms carried out as Finance Minister during the tenure of then Prime Minister P V Narasimha Rao.

Famous Bollywood actor Dev Anand was also born on 26 September. Evergreen actor Dev Anand, who enthralled the audience with his talent, acting, and romance for almost six decades in Hindi cinema, was born in 1923 in a middle class family in Gurdaspur, Punjab province of undivided India. Dev Anand was one of the well-known actors of the 50-60s. His personality, acting, head-shaking style, and dialogue delivery style were unique. Dev Anand died in London on 3 December 2011 at the age of 88.
