The World Cup for 48 teams, which will be held jointly by the United States, Canada, and Mexico, is scheduled for June 11 through July 19, 2026. This tournament is set to introduce 104 matches, which includes an additional knockout stage, as opposed to the previous 64 contests back to 104 games.
The New Jersey Metlife Stadium, home to NFL teams New York Giants and New York Jets will host the finals.
FIFA meetings during an interview with Infantino revealed details on social media for the first ever halftime show at a FIFA world cup final at the New York New Jersey base, “I can confirm that along with Global Citizen, I will be hosting Infantino Super Show”. Alongside Global Citizen, FIFA will be also collaborating with the British band Coldplay for the halftime performance.
