Ayodhya is gearing up for another significant event at the Ram Mandir, with reports that Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has formally invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi for a special flag-hoisting ceremony on November 25, 2025.
If the Prime Minister accepts the invitation, this will mark his second major event at the temple since the historic 'Pran Pratishtha' or consecration ceremony earlier this year. The invitation was reportedly extended by CM Yogi during a recent meeting with the Prime Minister in New Delhi.
While the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) has not yet officially confirmed his schedule, preparations in Ayodhya are said to be quietly getting underway for the potential high-profile visit.
Why is November 25 a Significant Date?
The choice of November 25 is deeply symbolic. It marks the eighth anniversary of the massive 'Dharma Sansad' (religious parliament) that was held in Ayodhya in 2017. That large gathering of saints, seers, and devotees from across the country played a crucial role in building momentum and a powerful voice for the construction of the Ram temple.
This proposed ceremony is seen as a way to commemorate that pivotal day in the temple's journey.
Preparations and Security Reviews
In light of the invitation, arrangements are being put in motion. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is expected to visit Ayodhya himself around October 28. During his visit, he will review the ongoing preparations for the city's grand Deepotsav celebrations as well as assess the security and logistical framework for the proposed November 25 event.
Following the CM's visit, high-ranking officials, including the ADG (Security), are scheduled to travel to Ayodhya to finalize a comprehensive security plan for the VVIP visit. The event has already generated considerable excitement among devotees and local residents, who are eagerly awaiting official confirmation.
