Zomato spends Rs 143 cr under Goyal’s Esops

While food delivery company Zomato is promising investors short term profitability, in the second half of 2022-23 the company posted a profit of Rs. 143 crore was spent, as per party transactions filed with the exchange. The total cost of ESOPs granted by the company to the top three managerial persons is Rs. 156 crore are seen. Which includes Chief Financial Officer Akshat Goyal and Company Secretary Sandhya Sethia. Similarly the KMP (Key Managerial Person) holds a total of 74 per cent of the ESOP charges. That is, the rest of the employees have a total of Rs. 55 crores is 26 percent of the expenditure. In a letter to shareholders last week, Zomato said it will pay Rs 100 crore under ESOPs in 2022-23. 510 crores had to be spent. Which in 2021-22 Rs. 880 crores.
