Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) is an important part of the country's security system. The security of airports, metro, government buildings and many sensitive places is in the hands of CISF soldiers. This force is headed by a Director General (DG), who handles the most important security responsibilities of the country. In such a situation, the question comes to the mind of the people that how much salary does the DG of CISF get and how much can his salary increase after the 8th Pay Commission? Let's know...

At present, the command of this force is in the hands of senior officer Rajwinder Singh Bhatti. He took over as the Director General (DG) of CISF on 28 August 2024. He will remain in this post till 30 September 2025, after which he will retire. Rajwinder Singh Bhatti is a 1990 batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer and hails from Bihar cadre. In his more than three decades of service experience, he has worked in many important positions.

Current Salary of CISF DG

Currently, the Director General of CISF gets salary under the 7th Pay Commission. The post of DG is equivalent to an All India Service Officer (IPS), which comes in Pay Level 17 or Secretary level (Level 17 - Apex Scale). In this scale, he gets a fixed salary of about Rs 2,25,000 per month. There is no grade pay in this, as it is one of the highest salary levels. Apart from this, he also gets government accommodation, vehicle, driver, staff and other facilities.

What can be expected from 8th Pay Commission?

If the government implements the 8th Pay Commission, it is expected that keeping inflation and expenses in mind, the salary of all central employees can increase by 20% to 30%. If the same percentage is applied to the salary of CISF DG, then his salary can increase from Rs 2.25 lakh to Rs 2.70 lakh to Rs 2.90 lakh per month.
