Preparations for the upcoming assembly elections in Delhi have begun. All political parties are making different announcements keeping the elections in mind. Aam Aadmi Party chief and former Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal held a press conference on Wednesday and announced ‘Sanjeevani Yojana’ for the people of Delhi. What is this Sanjeevani Yojana of Kejriwal? What is Sanjeevani Yojana?
Arvind Kejriwal announced on Wednesday that ‘Sanjeevani Yojana’ will be started if Aam Aadmi Party forms the government in Delhi in the upcoming elections. This scheme will be started after the elections. Kejriwal has said that under the Sanjeevani Yojana, senior citizens aged 60 years and above will be given unlimited free treatment in all government and private hospitals in Delhi.
Who can take advantage?
Under Kejriwal’s Sanjeevani Yojana, free treatment will be provided to the elderly above 60 years of age in Delhi. Some special features of the scheme are as follows -:
- Sanjeevani Yojana will be launched for free treatment of senior citizens aged 60 years and above.
- Under this, elderly people will be treated free of cost in all government and private hospitals of Delhi.
- There will be no limit on expenses during treatment.
How will the registration be done?
Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal has informed that the registration process under Sanjeevani Yojana will start in the next two-three days. Aam Aadmi Party volunteers will go door-to-door to register eligible elderly people for this scheme. This scheme will be implemented by the AAP government right after the elections in Delhi. The party has said that it is our prayer that every elderly person in Delhi should be healthy. Let us tell you that assembly elections are likely to be held in Delhi in February 2025.
