The Hundred Men’s Tournament is currently in full swing in England. Legendary batsmen from around the world are making a splash in this tournament every day. West Indies’ dashing batsman Kieron Pollard is also among them. Pollard played a short but explosive innings of 17 runs with the help of 2 sixes in 12 balls in the match played at Sophia Gardens in Cardiff on August 5. During this stormy innings, there was a moment when Sri Lankan legend Kumar Sangakkara and former England fast bowler Robert Croft, who were commentating near the field, narrowly escaped injury.

Kieron Pollard came to bat on the field when his team Southern Brave’s third wicket fell on a score of 103 runs and started giving a tough time to the bowlers from the very first ball. During this, Pollard hit a powerful shot on Wales Fire bowler Haris Rauf in the backward square leg which went straight towards the commentary box built on the boundary. Seeing the ball coming towards them, Sangakkara and Robert Croft, who were doing commentary, bent down to save themselves. Fortunately, the ball hit the electronic boundary a little before the commentary box. The video of this incident is now going viral on social media.
