Bollywood’s most awaited movie ‘Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan’ featuring Vikrant Massey and Shanaya Kapoor has officially completed its shooting schedule. Shanaya made the announcement a few days back on social media, posting, “Love, Deception, & Surprise – A package on your way. #AankhonKiGustaakhiyan shoot wraps. See you on the big screen soon.”
The film is being directed by Santosh Singh which marks the Bollywood entry of Shanaya Kapoor making it an important landmark of her journey. While the filming also revealed some behind the scenes clips of the actors enjoying themselves, the stunningly beautiful, but freezing, European landscapes served as the backdrop for the shoot, adding great value to the film both aesthetically and conceptually.
Adaptation of a Classic Ruskin Bond Story Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan is based on one of Ruskin Bond's favorite short story titled ‘The Eyes Have It’. The story follows Vikrant Massey’s role as a blind musician, and Shanaya Kapoor as a theatre actress. This mix along with Bond’s splendid storytelling is bound to provide an experience full of emotions.
Esteemed writers Niranjan Iyengar and Mansi Bagla have crafted the scripts. It will be produced by Mansi and Varun Bagla's Mini Films, which serves as their second partnership with Vikrant Massey after the Forensic remake.
Expected Release and Future Projects
Filming for the movie began in Mussoorie in October 2024, with its release expected in mid-2025. Fans eagerly awaiting this film should know that Shanaya Kapoor will also feature in Dharma Productions’ new web series Student of the Year.
At the same time, Massey is said to be working on a Rajkumar Hirani directed webseries, the name of which has not yet been revealed. Though details about this project remain a mystery, it is sure to add to the actor's long list of impressive performances.
With a promising storyline and a fresh pairing, Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan is bound to be one of the most-watched movies of 2025.
