Under the 'Mission Shakti' campaign, Class 9 student Kanak Rathore became an honorary Executive Engineer in Etah for one day
The Chief Executive Officer of the Uttar Pradesh Rural Road Development Agency (UPRRDA) stated that, in compliance with the directives of Deputy Chief Minister Shri Keshav Prasad Maurya—and with the aim of empowering girls and fostering their leadership skills—Kumari Kanak Rathore, a meritorious 9th-grade student from Assisi Convent School, Etah, was symbolically appointed as an Executive Engineer of UPRRDA (Rural Engineering Department) for one day. UPRRDA is currently implementing the extensive 'Mission Shakti Abhiyan' (Mission Shakti Campaign) across the state with full momentum and commitment. This campaign is proving to be a milestone in strengthening rural infrastructure and fostering a sense of security, dignity, and self-reliance within rural society.
On this special occasion, Shri Alok Kumar Srivastava (Executive Engineer / District Economics and Statistics Officer, Etah) and the entire office staff were present. Departmental officials provided Kumari Kanak Rathore with detailed information regarding ongoing development projects in the district, quality control measures, and the involvement of local residents and the general public in construction activities. Discussions were also held on the contribution of youth toward the nation's development.
Upon assuming the role, Kumari Kanak Rathore—serving as the symbolic Executive Engineer—offered significant suggestions and directives for the smooth functioning and improvement of the office environment. She emphasized the need to maintain complete cleanliness within the office premises, replace old furniture with comfortable alternatives for the staff and officers, ensure regular cleaning of restrooms, guarantee the availability of clean drinking water, and enhance the aesthetics and healthfulness of the premises by planting trees and developing green spaces.
