The skills of village women will now shine on foreign soil; UP's products are reaching the global market: Keshav Prasad Maurya
Addressing a 'Buyer-Seller Meet' organized by the State Rural Livelihood Mission, Keshav Prasad Maurya stated that products crafted by the women associated with the Mission in Uttar Pradesh are gaining recognition in international markets, thanks to the avenues opened by the 'double-engine' government. Goods handcrafted by these rural women will now be used on foreign soil as well. Realizing the resolve that "if it is Modi, it is possible" (*Modi hai toh mumkin hai*), Prime Minister Narendra Modi has paved the way for rural women's products to reach the global market. Deputy Chief Minister Maurya toured the exhibition and gathered information about the products and innovations displayed at various stalls. During the event, he distributed cheques to beneficiaries and entrepreneurs and honored high-performing participants with certificates of appreciation. Appreciating the products created by women's self-help groups and local entrepreneurs, Mr. Maurya emphasized the need to provide wider market access for their goods and to foster their journey towards self-reliance.
He noted that a wide range of products prepared by the state's women—including spices, honey, pickles and preserves, dairy products, handloom and silk sarees, *Chikankari* work, jute items and handicrafts, glass lamps, *papad*, and chips—are currently establishing their presence in the market. Platforms like the UP International Trade Show are playing a pivotal role in connecting these products to both national and international markets.
