The Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the high-profile tender scam within the Kanpur Municipal Corporation launched a major surprise operation on Wednesday. Led by ADCP in-charge Archana Singh, the investigating team arrived at the municipal headquarters located in Motijheel to inspect records and secure critical financial documents.
SIT Demands Hot Mix Plant and Payment Files
Upon arrival at the headquarters, the SIT focused its inquiries on critical administrative departments. The investigating team formally summoned Chief Engineer Syed Farid Akhtar Zaidi, demanding extensive documentation concerning the controversial hot mix plant operations, tender allocations, and related financial payment records.
Officers are currently conducting a rigorous, line-by-line examination of the seized files to trace financial irregularities and identify complicit parties involved in the alleged scam.
