Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya paid a courtesy visit to the Hon'ble Minister of Railways, Communications, and Electronics & Information Technology, Ashwini Vaishnaw, at Rail Bhawan today. During the meeting, Mr. Maurya raised significant public interest issues concerning Uttar Pradesh, particularly the Kaushambi and Prayagraj districts, with the Railway Minister. The first issue pertained to the need for constructing a Road Under Bridge (RUB) at Level Crossing No. 19 in Sirathu, located on the Prayagraj-Kanpur rail section of the North Central Railway. He explained that the construction of the RUB would facilitate the movement of local residents and help streamline traffic flow. The second issue raised was the demand for providing stoppages for key trains bound for Mumbai and New Delhi at Phulpur railway station in the Prayagraj district.
Adopting a positive stance on both issues of public interest, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw assured Mr. Maurya that the necessary actions would be completed promptly. The meeting also included discussions on organizational preparations for the upcoming elections and strategies to disseminate information about the government's public welfare schemes and development initiatives to the masses through party workers. Detailed discussions were held regarding various important matters related to the development of Uttar Pradesh, the effective implementation of public welfare schemes by both the Central and State governments, and organizational affairs.
He stated that the resolve of the 'double-engine' government is to prioritize public interest and service, ensuring that development and welfare schemes reach every household. Discussions also covered organizational matters and preparations for the upcoming elections. He urged party workers to play an effective role in conveying information about the Central and State governments' welfare schemes to the public and ensuring that eligible individuals receive their benefits, thereby extending the fruits of development and good governance to the person standing at the very last rung of the social ladder.
