Rs 81 Lakh Rural Projects Unveiled With New RCC Roads, Drainage, and RO Plant

Marking a substantial boost to rural civic infrastructure across Agra district, Zilla Panchayat President Dr. Manju Bhadauria on Sunday formally inaugurated extensive development projects worth Rs 81 lakh across the villages of Garhi Tursi, Ghaghpura, and Ramgarh in Fatehabad tehsil. Undertaken by the Agra Zilla Panchayat to upgrade grassroots living standards, the newly commissioned civic assets address long-pending demands for reliable transportation, modern wastewater drainage, and potable drinking water facilities. Local residents and village panchayat representatives accorded a rousing civic reception to the District Panchayat President, expressing profound gratitude for the rapid execution of critical public works aimed at transforming peri-urban living conditions.

Village-Wise Project Allocation: RCC Connectivity, Drain Lines, and Purified Water Plant

The development outlay of Rs 8.1 million (₹81 lakh) has been distributed strategically across core infrastructure assets to maximize community utility in each targeted settlement. In Garhi Tursi village, a durable 320-meter-long Reinforced Cement Concrete (RCC) roadway was constructed with an expenditure of ₹2.2 million (₹22 lakh), providing all-weather access to local commuters. In Ghaghpura, civic authorities allocated ₹1.4 million (₹14 lakh) to lay a 120-meter-long RCC road, complemented by an expenditure of ₹1.1 million (₹11 lakh) toward constructing a 170-meter-long engineered drainage channel to resolve chronic waterlogging. Meanwhile, Ramgarh received the largest single connectivity boost with a ₹3.4 million (₹34 lakh) outlay dedicated to a 480-meter-long paved road network, alongside the formal commissioning of a high-capacity Reverse Osmosis (RO) water purification plant to secure clean, mineral-safe drinking water for hundreds of local households.

Priority on Village Living Standards: Leadership Pledges Continuous Upgrades

Addressing the local gathering during the ribbon-cutting ceremonies, Dr. Manju Bhadauria stated that the comprehensive upliftment of rural hamlets remains the foremost operational mandate of the Zilla Panchayat administration. She emphasized that beyond foundational connectivity and drainage pipelines, continuous administrative efforts are underway to provide modern community conveniences, including potable tap water, landscaped children's recreational parks, and community sanitation facilities across rural belts. The high-profile inauguration was attended by prominent local dignitaries and grassroots leaders, including Dr. Mansingh, Vijendra Singh Pradhan, Rajendra Pradhan, Diwan Singh Pradhan, Ajay Pal, Hariom Singh, Gyani Babu, Neeraj Pradhan, Trivendra, Dharmendra, Ajendra Singh, Dhirendra, and Rajendra, among several village elders.
