Post

In a major administrative push to elevate passenger comfort, safety, and modern infrastructure, the North Central Railway (NCR) Prayagraj Division has announced comprehensive upgrades for 16 major railway stations under its jurisdiction. Millions of daily rail commuters will soon benefit from world-class catering services and multi-purpose stalls offering essential travel commodities directly on platform premises, transforming the transit experience through a completely transparent digital allotment process.

Transparent E-Auction Process via IREPS for 5-Year Allotment

To ensure absolute transparency and fair participation, the Senior Divisional Commercial Manager of NCR Prayagraj has issued an official e-auction notice adhering strictly to Railway Board guidelines. Operated through the digital IREPS e-auction module, new catering units and multi-purpose stalls will be allocated for a fixed tenure of five years. The upcoming online bidding schedules are slated to begin precisely at 11:00 AM on July 31, 2026, and August 3, 2026, welcoming eligible operators committed to maintaining superior service standards.

Key Stations Covered and Strategic Platform Mapping

The modernization initiative spans 16 critical railway hubs within the division to accommodate heavy daily footfall and prevent platform overcrowding. Strategic locations and platforms are actively being marked across major stations including Prayagraj Junction, Prayagraj Chheoki, Aligarh, Vindhyachal, Khurja, Fatehpur, Naini, Manikpur, Sonbhadra, Dadri, Hathras, Khaga, Sirathu, Bharwari, Mainpuri, Phaphund, Bharthana, and Shankargarh. This meticulous mapping guarantees that passengers across all sections of the station have immediate access to essential services.

One-Stop Convenience: From Hygienic Food to Travel Essentials

Designed to eliminate the hassle of hunting for supplies inside or outside station premises, these multi-purpose stalls will act as comprehensive one-stop shops. Commuters can purchase hygienic, standardized meals, packaged snacks, and mineral water alongside daily newspapers, informational books, emergency medicines, and essential mobile accessories like chargers and earphones. This development brings immense relief to families traveling with children, senior citizens, and long-distance passengers, ensuring a streamlined, organized, and pleasant journey across Uttar Pradesh and neighboring transit corridors.
