New 72-Bed Nursing Hostel Built at ₹3.75 Crore to End Accommodation Woes for Female Students
The infrastructure at Maharshi Balark Autonomous State Medical College in Bahraich has received a massive boost, bringing immense relief to aspiring medical professionals. To resolve ongoing accommodation challenges for female scholars, a brand-new residential facility has been successfully completed on campus. Constructed at an estimated cost of ₹3.75 crore (37.5 million rupees), the dedicated nursing hostel is designed to accommodate 72 B.Sc. Nursing students, ensuring a safe, secure, and conducive environment right next to their academic and clinical training grounds.
Modern Facility Constructed Near Women's Hospital Campus
The newly constructed hostel building is strategically located near the women's hospital block within the main medical college campus. The project, which took roughly one and a half years to complete, was executed und=er the supervision of the Uttar Pradesh State Construction Corporation. Recognizing the growing demand for nursing education and the daily struggles faced by outstation girl students in finding safe rental housing, the college principal had earlier formally appealed to the state government for a dedicated residential block. Responding promptly, the government sanctioned the budget, paving the way for this much-needed campus upgrade.
Final Touches Underway Before Official Handover
Administrative preparations to inaugurate and allocate rooms to students are currently in full swing. At present, finishing touches—including the installation of ceiling fans and final electrical fittings in individual rooms—are being wrapped up. According to college authorities, the building will be officially handed over to the medical college administration within a week. Once transferred, enrolled nursing scholars can move in immediately, saving significant travel time and living expenses while gaining access to affordable, on-campus lodging.
Comfort and Training Proximity for Nursing Scholars
Designed with student welfare in mind, the multi-story hostel features a twin-sharing room layout, allowing two students to comfortably share quarters while maintaining dedicated study spaces. Living on campus will not only eliminate daily commuting hassles but also allow nursing students to easily access library resources and participate in emergency clinical training at the adjoining hospital. This development marks a major milestone in strengthening medical education infrastructure in the Bahraich district, ensuring that regional students receive top-tier academic and residential support.
