'Misbehave With Daughters and You Will Meet Yamraj at the Next Crossing'

Post

Addressing a massive gathering in Bareilly’s historic Nath Nagari, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reiterated his administration's zero-tolerance policy against criminals, asserting that anyone attempting to harass women, assault daughters, or commit armed robberies will meet Yamraj, the god of death, at the very next road intersection. Contrasting the state's present law-and-order situation with conditions prior to 2017, the Chief Minister said that past regimes were dominated by political patrons who acted in league with dacoits and mafia syndicates while the police force remained helpless spectators. Underlining the transformation across the state, he emphasized that fear has shifted to lawbreakers, rioters now celebrate Urs behind bars, and festival seasons pass peacefully without communal violence.

Major Welfare Push: Village Chowkidar Pay Raised to ₹3,500 Along with ₹5 Lakh Cashless Healthcare

During a dedicated felicitation program held at the Bareilly Police Lines, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced major welfare enhancements for rural security personnel:

Honorarium Hike: The monthly honorarium for rural village guards (chowkidars) across the Bareilly-Moradabad division and the entire state was raised from ₹2,500 to ₹3,500 per month.

Cashless Medical Cover: Every rural chowkidar will now receive comprehensive cashless health coverage up to ₹5 lakh, safeguarding their families against unexpected medical emergencies.

Statewide Impact: Over 68,000 village guards across Uttar Pradesh will directly benefit from this welfare expansion, boosting grassroot intelligence networks and village-level vigilance.

Crackdown on Mafias and Rioters: Ancestral Assets at Risk for Lawbreakers

Speaking in support of BJP candidate Hari Singh Dhillon at the Bareilly Club Ground, the Chief Minister targeted historical unrest in Western UP:

End of Communal Riots: Referring directly to previous flare-ups involving figures like Maulana Tauqeer Raza and past tensions in Sambhal, Adityanath noted that communal riots during religious festivals have been eradicated because rioters understand their ancestral assets will be attached to compensate for public losses.

Mafia Deterrence: He remarked that while past politicians shielded criminals, today organized criminal gangs shudder at the mere approach of a police siren, restoring confidence among common citizens and commercial establishments.

Safe Festive Atmosphere: Pointing to massive, peaceful gatherings at pilgrimage shrines and temples during Navratri, the Chief Minister cited high footfalls as living proof of women's safety and public trust in the state's security apparatus.

Education and Employment Drive: A University in Every District and Fast-Track Exams

Detailing the state's human capital and educational revolution, the Chief Minister outlined key governance milestones:

One District, One University Plan: Following the successful rollout of medical colleges across districts, the state administration is advancing plans to establish a university in every single district, with projects already underway in Shahjahanpur, Kushinagar, and Bhadohi.

Teacher Welfare and CBSE Extension: Highlighting the transparent recruitment of 1.60 lakh teachers, he announced that the cashless medical scheme provided to government teachers will soon be extended to private CBSE school educators.

Swift Board Exam Cycles: Celebrating the streamlined UP Board examination schedule, he noted that exams will now conclude within 14 days, followed by result declarations within another 14 days, a stark contrast to previous multi-month delays.

Economic Transformation: Adityanath declared that Uttar Pradesh has shed its "BIMARU" status to become a revenue-surplus state, having provided nine lakh transparent government jobs over nine and a half years while substantially boosting per capita income, road infrastructure, and corporate investments.
