"Let Them Count, We'll Hand Out Jobs": CM Yogi Launches 1 Lakh Hiring Blitz

Post

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has set into motion a massive recruitment offensive aimed at delivering over 100,000 permanent state government jobs within the next six months. Speaking at an appointment letter distribution ceremony at Lok Bhavan in Lucknow, the Chief Minister handed over joining credentials to 818 newly selected candidates across diverse administrative and technical cadres. Launching a scathing political counterattack against the Samajwadi Party and opposition critics, Adityanath asserted that while political opponents continue counting grievances, his administration will focus entirely on merit-driven appointments. The Chief Minister affirmed that this distribution marks the start of a continuous hiring pipeline designed to provide sustainable livelihoods for qualified youth across Uttar Pradesh.

Handing Over Credentials to 818 Recruits: Healthcare, Technical, and Industry Officers Inducted

The recruitment distribution at Lok Bhavan saw candidates inducted into critical public service departments. The largest share of postings bolstered the state's healthcare infrastructure, with 357 appointment letters handed to newly qualified X-ray technicians under the Department of Medical and Health Services. Alongside modern healthcare, the traditional wellness sector received a boost with 404 candidates appointed under the AYUSH Department. To accelerate skill development initiatives, 48 instructors joined the Department of Vocational Education, Skill Development, and Entrepreneurship, while nine Assistant Statistical Officers were officially deployed to the Directorate of Industries to enhance industrial data monitoring.

Road to 100,000 Government Jobs: Breaking Down the 6-Month Recruitment Calendar

The administration unveiled an inter-departmental roadmap detailing how the 100,000 vacancy target will be systematically realized across several state examination boards. Chief Minister Adityanath confirmed that another batch of roughly 1,000 candidates will receive their joining credentials immediately on Sunday, maintaining steady administrative momentum. Key recruitment pipelines include:

Police and Home Guard Personnel: Over 36,000 civil police vacancies alongside 41,000 to 42,000 Home Guard positions are currently undergoing physical efficiency tests and medical screenings.

UP Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC): Between 25,000 and 30,000 Group C non-gazetted posts will conclude examination stages and offer appointments over the coming six months.

UP Education Services Selection Commission: The newly formed centralized commission is processing 20,000 to 25,000 teaching and academic positions, with final results scheduled within three to four months.

UP Public Service Commission (UPPSC): State administrative examinations are slated to conclude selections for approximately 15,000 to 16,000 gazetted officer and specialist roles.

Slamming Pre-2017 Nepotism: Abolition of Interviews and End of 'Extortion Syndicates'

Contrasting current administrative procedures with the pre-2017 landscape, Chief Minister Adityanath alleged that previous governments operated organized extortion networks where appointment letters were distributed to individuals who had never formally applied. Legitimate candidates, he noted, were forced into years of litigation in high courts and street protests against compromised commissions, pointing out that an unqualified individual had once been installed as the UPPSC chairman. Adityanath underlined that his government rooted out this culture by completely abolishing personal interviews for Group 3 and Group 4 positions, establishing an objective merit roster that prevents bribery and favoritism.

Economic Transformation and UP International Trade Show in Gautam Buddha Nagar

Highlighting the state's broader macroeconomic shift, Adityanath noted that transparent governance and strict law enforcement have lifted Uttar Pradesh out of its past economic inertia into a revenue-surplus state. Registered startups have surged from a modest 120 units prior to 2017 to over 24,000 enterprises operating today, generating thousands of crores in business turnover. The Chief Minister highlighted the upcoming fourth edition of the UP International Trade Show, scheduled from September 25 to 29 in Gautam Buddha Nagar, featuring over 650 overseas buyers and 2,500 domestic exhibitors. Key dignitaries attending the Lok Bhavan event included AYUSH Minister Dayashankar Mishra Dayalu, Minister of State for Medical Education Mayankeshwar Sharan Singh, and Minister of State for MSME Hansraj Vishwakarma, as newly recruited candidates expressed gratitude for entering government service purely on personal merit.
