On October 12, a review of the preparations and action plan for the 'Special Employment Generation Day'—to be organized under the 'Viksit Bharat-Guarantee for Employment' (VB-G) scheme—was conducted at the official residence of Keshav Prasad Maurya at 7, Kalidas Marg. Principal Secretary (Rural Development) Saurabh Babu, Commissioner (Rural Development) P.K. Upadhyay, and Chief Development Officers from all 75 districts of the state participated in the meeting via a virtual platform.

Deputy Chief Minister Shri Keshav Prasad Maurya stated that, in keeping with the spirit of the 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan' (Service Pledge Campaign) organized to mark Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's 25 years of public service, a 'Special Employment Generation Day' will be held on October 12 under the 'Viksit Bharat – Guarantee for Employment and Livelihood Mission (Rural)'—also known as the VB-G RAM-G scheme. The objective of this initiative is to connect rural families with employment opportunities, strengthen livelihood resources, and accelerate development activities in villages. He stated that the objective of the Central and State governments is to provide economic support to rural families, reduce the need for migration in search of employment, and ensure that the benefits of government schemes reach the last eligible person. All officials must ensure the effective implementation of the scheme by adopting transparency, accountability, and a time-bound approach, so that development activities—alongside employment generation—gain fresh momentum in rural areas.
