Indian Railways Announces Two Pairs of Festival Special Trains Between Sultanpur, Varanasi, and Mumbai to Ease Festive Rush

To accommodate the massive surge in passenger traffic and ensure smooth travel for commuters during the upcoming festive season, Indian Railways has announced the operation of two pairs of reserved festival special trains connecting Sultanpur and Varanasi to Mumbai's Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT). These special services are designed to provide immense relief to travelers heading home for Diwali and Chhath Puja, offering comfortable transit options equipped with modern amenities.

Coach Composition and Modern LHB Facilities

Both festival special train pairs will feature modern Linke Hofmann Busch (LHB) rakes consisting of 20 coaches each. To maximize passenger accommodation and comfort, the composition includes 14 air-conditioned third-class (economy) coaches, four general unreserved class coaches, and two generator and luggage-cum-guard coaches. Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Samarth Gupta stated that these well-equipped trains will significantly streamline passenger movement and cater to the high seasonal demand.

Detailed Timetable and Route Schedule for Sultanpur-Mumbai Special

The 04212/04211 Sultanpur-Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Reserved Festival Special Express will operate for a total of four trips in each direction:

Train No. 04212 Sultanpur – LTT Special will depart from Sultanpur every Wednesday from October 21 to November 11 at 4:00 AM, arriving at Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 2:00 PM the following day.

Train No. 04211 LTT – Sultanpur Special will depart from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus every Thursday from October 22 to November 12 at 3:00 PM, reaching Sultanpur at 11:00 AM the next day.

Route: Both trains will traverse via Lucknow, Kanpur Central, Orai, Veerangana Laxmibai Jhansi, Bina, Rani Kamalapati, Itarsi, Khandwa, Bhusaval, Nashik Road, Igatpuri, Kalyan, and Thane.

Varanasi-Mumbai Festival Special Timetable and Stops

The 04226/04225 Varanasi-Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Reserved Festival Special Express will also complete four weekly trips in both directions:

Train No. 04226 Varanasi – LTT Special will depart from Varanasi every Thursday from October 22 to November 12 at 1:35 AM, passing through Jaunpur City to reach Sultanpur at 3:55 AM, and arriving at Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 2:00 PM via Lucknow.

Train No. 04225 LTT – Varanasi Special will depart from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus every Friday from October 23 to November 13 at 3:00 PM, arriving at Sultanpur at 11:15 AM and continuing onward to Varanasi via Jaunpur City to reach at 2:05 AM.
