Residents of Shahpur Pawar Gram Panchayat within the Mallawan development block of Hardoi are set to receive a major developmental milestone with the construction of a modern Panchayat Utsav Bhawan. Funded at an estimated cost of Rs 1.41 crore, the ambitious infrastructure project has been officially sanctioned by the Panchayati Raj Department to address the long-standing absence of dedicated community spaces for public gatherings, auspicious occasions, and social celebrations in the region.

Streamlined Approvals and Completed Tender Process Clear Path for Construction

As part of a broader state government initiative to establish a dedicated Panchayat Utsav Bhawan in every assembly constituency, Panchayati Raj Department Director Amit Kumar Singh formally approved the construction blueprint and cleared the disbursement of funds. Following a rigorous review of the Detailed Project Report (DPR) by the Superintending Engineer of the District Panchayat Monitoring Cell and the subsequent green light from state authorities, the tender process has been successfully concluded. Local administrative officials, including ADO Panchayat Neeraj Kumar, confirmed that official communications have been received, paving the way for physical construction work to commence swiftly.

Ending Decades of Inconvenience for Ganga Katori Region Residents

Local representatives and elected officials have lauded the sanctioning of the project as a historic achievement for the Ganga Katori and Katra regions, which previously lacked proper banquet or marriage hall facilities. Pradhan representative Santosh Gupta expressed immense gratitude, noting that villagers will no longer be forced to travel long distances or bear heavy expenses to organize weddings, cultural gatherings, and community events. Local MLA Ashish Singh Ashu highlighted that he had personally brought the regional shortage of community venues to the attention of the Chief Minister, ensuring that this vital developmental gift becomes a reality and marks a new chapter of grassroots progress for Hardoi.
