Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya heard public grievances during the 'Janata Darshan' and directed officials to take immediate action
Today, at his residence at 7, Kalidas Marg, Lucknow, Keshav Prasad Maurya listened attentively to the grievances of people arriving from various districts of the state during the 'Janata Darshan' (public grievance redressal) program. He stated, "The public's problems are my problems, and resolving them is my duty." He directed officials to ensure the resolution of public grievances in a timely manner and in accordance with the rules.
During the program, citizens raised various issues of public interest before the Deputy Chief Minister, including drain construction and cleaning, project implementation, roads and street lighting, land encroachment issues, widening of village access paths (chak-margs), financial assistance, construction of boundary walls for cremation grounds, and the installation of handpumps in government schools. Addressing each case seriously, Mr. Maurya issued both written and oral directives to the concerned officials and ordered immediate action in eligible cases as per the rules.
The Deputy Chief Minister stated that the state government's objective is to extend the benefits of government schemes and facilities to the person standing at the very last rung of the social ladder. To realize Prime Minister Narendra Modi's resolve of "Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas" (Together with all, Development for all, Trust of all, Effort of all), the state government is according top priority to public welfare.
He instructed officials to ensure that there is no laxity in delivering the benefits of eligibility-based government schemes—such as Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Chief Minister's Awas Yojana, Har Ghar Jal, Swachh Bharat Mission, Ujjwala Yojana, Saubhagya Yojana, old-age and widow pensions, and Kisan Samman Nidhi—to the intended beneficiaries.
Mr. Maurya remarked that 'Janata Darshan' is not merely a platform for listening to grievances but an effective medium for direct dialogue and resolution between the public and the government. He directed officials to handle every complaint with sensitivity and to ensure effective monitoring of the resolution process.
