Delhi-Haridwar Express Gets Experimental Stoppage at Sakauti Tada Station

Rail connectivity for devotees and local residents in Uttar Pradesh received a massive boost as the Delhi-Haridwar Express officially commenced an experimental stoppage at the Sakauti Tada station in Meerut. The introduction of this railway halt fulfills a long-standing public demand, significantly easing travel for pilgrims visiting the revered Nangli Teerth as well as commuters across 40 surrounding villages. When train number 14304 arrived at Sakauti station, local residents and railway passengers gathered in large numbers to celebrate the milestone with enthusiastic celebrations, traditional drums, and trumpets.

Ceremonial Flag-Off by Mahamandaleshwar Swami Shivpremanand and BJP Leaders

The inaugural stop was marked by a grand ceremony organized at the station platform. Mahamandaleshwar Swami Shivpremanand Maharaj of Nangli Tirtha, alongside prominent BJP leader Sunil Bharala, formally flagged off the train toward Delhi. Speaking on the occasion, Swami Shivpremanand emphasized that thousands of devotees travel from distant parts of the country to visit Nangli Tirtha, noting that while local rail infrastructure has improved, the local community also hopes for additional halts for premier services like the Shatabdi and Jan Shatabdi expresses in the future. BJP leader Sunil Bharala highlighted that persistent coordination with Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav and senior railway officials finally materialized into this vital transport facility for the region.

Timings, Daily Passenger Footfall, and Existing Rail Services at Sakauti Tada

Under the newly approved railway schedule, the Delhi-Haridwar Express arrives at Sakauti Tada station at 12:15 PM en route to its destination, while the return service from Haridwar to Delhi stops at the station at 7:46 PM, with a designated one-minute halt. Serving an average footfall of approximately 1,500 daily passengers across 40 nearby villages, Sakauti Tada station is already a transit point for several major trains, including the Utkal Express, Golden Temple Mail, Shalimar Express, Yoga Express, Ambala-Cantt Intercity, and Delhi-Saharanpur passenger services. The addition of the Delhi-Haridwar Express further solidifies the station's role as a key regional transportation hub.
