CM Yogi's Intervention Clears Path for PWD Junior Engineer Promotions

Following a direct intervention by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, administrative roadblocks preventing the long-awaited promotions of more than 100 junior engineers (JEs) within the Public Works Department (PWD) have been successfully cleared. The breakthrough came after the Diploma Engineers Association escalated grievances regarding persistent technical bottlenecks on the state's Human Resource Portal to the highest level of state leadership, prompting immediate corrective measures.

Technical Glitches on Human Resource Portal Fixed by NIC

The primary barrier to career progression for these engineers stemmed from technical flaws within the National Informatics Center (NIC) Human Resource Portal. Specifically, the portal's Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) column lacked provisions for accommodating disabled personnel, which legally barred the department from forwarding official promotion proposals to the state government for elevation to Assistant Engineer (AE) posts.

Upon receiving formal complaints, the PWD administration coordinated with the Personnel Department, which promptly intervened and engaged with NIC officials to rectify the software glitches. With the portal errors resolved, the department has finalized the eligibility list, ensuring that deserving junior engineers can now advance in their careers. The Diploma Engineers Association has formally expressed its deep gratitude to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for his proactive governance and swift resolution of the departmental crisis.
