Keshav Prasad Maurya attended a felicitation ceremony organized by the High Court Bar Association Executive Committee (2025-26) in Prayagraj today; he remarked that the judiciary stands as a pillar of public trust. The court is a place where the power of truth prevails and citizens are assured of receiving justice. Mr. Maurya congratulated the legal fraternity while handing over the keys to the new building for judges and new chambers for advocates. He stated that the advocates of Prayagraj have always played a pivotal role in upholding democracy, the Constitution, and civil rights. While the Constitution grants us rights, the judicial system provides the assurance that these rights will be protected. The relationship between advocates and the government is not merely procedural; it is rooted in a shared responsibility to ensure justice for every individual in society. The government enacts laws, but advocates serve as a crucial bridge in extending the benefits of those laws to the last person in the social strata.
He stated that their vision is clear: advocates should receive respect, security, and modern facilities to carry out their work. A strong Bar and a strong Bench together build a robust judicial system. While many individuals working in the courts may not make headlines, the entire process of justice cannot move forward without their hard work and dedication.
Shri Maurya said that the 'double-engine' government is committed to developing judicial infrastructure, strengthening technology, and facilitating easy access to justice for the common citizen, in line with the judiciary's requirements. The government is resolved to ensure that every citizen in Uttar Pradesh is assured of equal, timely, and accessible justice.
The event was attended by the Hon'ble Chief Minister, Hon'ble Chief Justice Shri Arun Bhansali, Hon'ble Justice Shri Aridaman Sinha, Hon'ble Minister Shri Swatantra Dev Singh, Hon'ble Minister Shri Nand Gopal Nandi, Prayagraj Bar Association President Shri Rakesh Pandey, other dignitaries, and a large number of citizens.
