A large number of complainants arrived; Keshav Maurya heard public grievances in Prayagraj and directed officials to take action
In Prayagraj, the Deputy Chief Minister directed officials to verify eligible families and ensure they receive the benefits of government schemes on a priority basis. He emphasized that no eligible poor family should be deprived of basic amenities like housing, and there should be no negligence in extending the benefits of schemes to eligible beneficiaries. Similarly, individuals suffering from serious illnesses requested financial assistance for treatment, Ayushman cards, and better medical facilities. Mr. Maurya instructed the concerned officials to take necessary action in accordance with the rules and link eligible individuals with medical and assistance schemes. Regarding complaints concerning illegal land encroachment, encroachment on village access paths (*chakmargs*), and road widening, Mr. Maurya directed revenue and departmental officials to conduct on-site inspections and ensure action is taken as per regulations. He stated that encroachment on public roads and village access paths would not be tolerated under any circumstances.
During the *Janta Darshan* (public grievance redressal meeting) held today at the Circuit House in Prayagraj, people from various parts of the district submitted letters of complaint and requests regarding issues such as drains, water drainage, drinking water, road construction and repair, medical facilities, land disputes, removal of illegal encroachments, widening of village access paths, the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Ayushman cards, and financial aid for medical treatment. Mr. Maurya listened patiently to every petitioner and directed the concerned officials to resolve the cases in a lawful, impartial, and time-bound manner. He instructed officials not to limit the handling of complaints received during the *Janta Darshan* to mere paperwork; instead, they must ensure effective action on each case and inform the complainant of the outcome. He emphasized that the administration should work with sensitivity and accountability to ensure that the general public does not have to make unnecessary rounds of government offices.
