Suspense crime, Digital Desk : In a matter of weeks, Uttar Pradesh has seen two staggering incidents of domestic violence which have raised concerns about those issues spousal violence and mental health. One case of violence in Sonbhadra ended in a murder suicide while in Shahjahanpur there was an attempted murder on account of infidelity.

Sonbhadra Forest Case: Wifecide and Subsequent Suicide.

A man is said to have murdered his wife and then commited suicide in a secluded forest in Sonbhadra, Uttar Pradesh. Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Kalu Singh states that a resident of Palpal village under Rampur Barkonia police station, allegedly went to the forest with his wife Rita (35) to fetch chironji nuts ‘sbbksb’. In their scuffle they were having at the time does not seem friendly.

In a fit of rage, he allegedly axed his wife’s neck and she died immediately. He subsequently used her sari to hang himself using a rope.

The police reported that the homicide occured around on a slain wednesday. Because the forest is in the middle of nowhere, they only received the alert at 4 PM. There is an ongoing investigation and the police have sent in the bodies to conduct legal procedures.

Shahjahanpur Shooting: Man Shoots His Wife After Suspecting Her Of Infidelity.

In a separate shocking incident, Munara Begum's son Nigar, alias Reena, aged 28, was shot by her husband Shakeel, alias Nanhe, on the 23rd of April in Kant Town, Shahjahanpur.

She received treatment at a local medical college hospital.

While being interrogated, her case was handled by Superintendent of Police Rajesh Dwivedi, who later recounted Nigar claiming Shakeel had suspicions regarding her fidelity.

The police said that he shot and ran, but he was arrested soon afterwards.
