As per a CNBC-TV18 report, the US administration dealt a significant blow by asking India to remove tariffs on almost all goods, with the exception of agricultural products, on March 6. The striking part of this is that it doesn’t seem that the Trump-led administration will give any chance of conceding to New Delhi from the corresponding tariffs which are going into effect on April 2.
This follows after Trump has constantly called out India and even other nations for having what he deems as unfair trade practices. A month prior, Trump also called out New Delhi on high tariffs during Modi's visit to the White House.
