The US stated on their Tuesday briefing that there are cavity agreements made with Ukraine and Russia separately for the Black Sea navigation as well as a mutual prohibition of attacks to each country’s energy infrastructure.

If these agreements are followed through, it would provide the strongest advancements towards a ceasefire that the Washington has been leaning on to initiate the negotiations for concluding the Russian war on Ukraine that has dragged for three brutish years.

Russian state officials have mentioned that the rest of the world is able to see these mock negotiatons for what they are and openly state that there is no point in trusting Ukraine's Volodymyr Zelenskiy to follow through with the terms set in agreements signed with him.

"We will need clear guarantees. And given the sad experience of agreements with just Kyiv, the guarantees can only be the result of an order from Washington to Zelenskiy and his team to complete mandatory tasks,” Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said to the tv.

Moscow's demands and whether they will impact or delay the implementation of these agreements is unknown at the present. As has been previously made clear by President Zelenskiy, both Ukrainians and Russians equally know how untrustworthy the man Putin poses as.

Ukrain’s Defence Minister stated that Kyiv had agreed on both a pause in hostilities between Russia and Ukraine and a maritime ceasefire. With the intention of accomplishing one of President Donald Trump’s pledges aimed at concluding the war as rapidly as possible, the Americans initially planned to incorporate a full 30 day ceasefire which was set for March 11. Ukraine agreed to the ceasefire in principle but the whole plan was designed to facilitate subsequent discussions. After postponing his side of the bargain for longer than expected, President Putin made a counter offer where he answered the overarching ceasefire plan with a plethora of queries and conditions. As a result, America had to split its attention during the week to Russia and Ukraine to have limited discussions regarding water and energy hostilities which culminated in Saudi Arabia.
