Suspense crime, Digital Desk : England Women capped off a flawless ODI series with a crushing 159-run victory over the West Indies in the third and final match at Canterbury. The win was orchestrated by a breathtaking batting display from openers Tammy Beaumont and Nat Sciver-Brunt, who both scored magnificent centuries to secure a second consecutive 3-0 series whitewash against the visitors on home soil.

A Record-Breaking Opening Stand

After being put into bat by the West Indies, England's intentions were clear from the outset. Beaumont and captain Sciver-Brunt put on a batting masterclass, dismantling the West Indian bowling attack with a monumental 212-run partnership for the first wicket.

Nat Sciver-Brunt was in scintillating form, reaching her eighth ODI century and ultimately scoring a superb 120. Her partner, Tammy Beaumont, was equally brilliant, anchoring the innings with her tenth ODI hundred before being dismissed for 118. Their partnership laid an unshakeable foundation for a massive total.

West Indies Fight Back Before Batting Collapse

Despite the onslaught, the West Indies bowlers, led by left-arm spinner Qiana Joseph (3 for 50), showed resilience in the latter stages of the innings. After the openers were dismissed, England suffered a minor collapse, losing all 10 wickets for just 65 runs to be bowled out for 277.

However, any hope the West Indies had of chasing the target was quickly extinguished. Their batting lineup crumbled under the pressure of the formidable total and a disciplined English bowling attack. Key batter and captain Hayley Matthews was dismissed early, and no other player could mount a significant challenge.

The visitors were eventually bundled out for just 118, falling well short of the target and sealing a comprehensive victory for the home side. The one-sided result perfectly encapsulated the series, where England proved to be superior in every department.
