Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a tour of Australia from Monday, he is participating in many programs here. During this, he addressed the overseas Indians at the Arena Stadium in Sydney. Although PM Modi discussed many issues in detail in his speech here, he also mentioned Turkey. In his speech, PM Modi has given an indirect message to Turkey for not attending the G-20 in Kashmir. PM Modi said in his speech that when there was a crisis in Turkey, India sent the NDRF team by running ‘Operation Dost’.
In fact, on February 6 this year, a severe earthquake caused havoc in Turkey. Many buildings collapsed and thousands of people were buried under the debris. In such a situation, India sent a contingent of 151 NDRF personnel and three dog squads to Turkey. The team carried out non-stop relief and rescue operations in Turkey for several days. In the midst of severe cold and devastation, these soldiers saved the lives of many people. The team went to Turkey with a large amount of food and medical facilities.
Love became the compulsion of Pakistan?
Although Türkiye’s attitude and attachment towards Pakistan is not decreasing. At present, this thing has come to be known from the G-20 meeting held in Kashmir. 4 countries did not participate in this meeting held in Kashmir. This includes countries like China, Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Egypt. China considers Kashmir a ‘disputed territory’ so it is understandable that China did not participate in it. While Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Egypt are members of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). Pakistan is also a member of this organization and has raised the issue of Kashmir many times against it.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has taken Pakistan’s side many times on the international stage on the Kashmir issue. He has been talking about peace on the Kashmir issue for the last three years in the United Nations General Assembly. Although Turkey’s tone has become a bit weaker than before, Turkey’s attachment to Pakistan is clearly visible due to not attending the G-20 meeting.
PM Modi’s message to Türkiye
During the tour of Australia, PM Modi mentioned the natural disaster in Turkey and also told how India had sent aid to Turkey. This can also be seen as a befitting reply to Turkey in PM’s speech. Despite India helping Turkey in times of crisis without any discrimination, Turkey has stayed away from the G-20 meeting being held in Kashmir.
4 countries together boycotted
The first international event is being organized in Jammu and Kashmir after the abrogation of Article 370 by the Government of India. In such a situation, three G-20 member countries China, Turkey and Saudi did not participate in this meeting. At the same time, 9 other countries have been specially invited, out of which Egypt has not participated in the event.
