DMRC Multiple Journey QR Ticket: Delhi Metro has launched QR code-based multiple journey tickets to make the journey of users easier. This facility will eliminate the tension of users to carry smart cards. Till now users could get the metro’s QR-based ticket only for one journey. As soon as this new service starts, users will be able to use their smartphone as a smart card, which means that passengers will neither have the hassle of buying tickets daily nor the tension of recharging the smart card and carrying it with them.
This service of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has started today i.e. 13th September. DMRC said that Multiple Journey QR Code is a revolutionary digital initiative, which aims to make the journey of passengers easier. Multiple Journey QR tickets can be booked through Delhi Metro’s Momentum 2.0 app. After this, this app will work like your digital smart card. How to use DMRC Multiple Journey QR Ticket?
For this, you will have to download the DMRC Momentum 2.0 app on your smartphone.
After the app is installed, log in using your mobile number and OTP.
After this, create your user profile.
You will get the option of a Multiple Journey QR Code on the home screen of the app.
You can buy this ticket for Rs 150 by tapping on it.
To recharge it, you can use the UPI app as well as credit or debit card and net banking.
After the Multiple Journey QR Ticket is recharged, open this card at the gate provided at the metro station and scan the given QR code after completing the journey you will have to show this QR code again. After the completion of the journey, the balance of this card will be reduced.
Keep these things in mind
You will get recharge options from Rs 50 to Rs 3,000. Not only this, just like the smart card, you will also get the benefit of journey and coupon discount in this new service of DMRC. However, to use this app, it is necessary to keep a minimum balance of at least Rs 60 in the QR ticket. In this multiple-journey QR code system, passengers will be given a discount of 10 percent (peak hours) and up to 20 percent on every journey, just like the smart card.
