Actresses Tamannaah Bhatia and Kajal Aggarwal have been summoned by police regarding their involvement in a suspected cryptocurrency scam. Puducherry police may ask the actresses some questions regarding their alleged fraudulent activities.
Former soldier, Ashokan of Moolakulam, Puducherry, has lodged a complaint with a Coimbatore company that set up shop in 2022. According to 123Telugu, he alleged that he was defrauded by the cryptocurrency investment scheme. Ashokan claims that he invested over Rs 1 crore and managed to convince his ten friends to invest an additional Rs 2.4 crore.
He was even invited to the launch event of the company, which was famously graced by the appearance of Tamannaah Bhatia. Later, he attended a function in Mahabalipuram where he claims Kajal Aggarwal was the MC. During the function, reportedly over a hundred investors were rewarded by being gifted cars ranging from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 1 crore.
The reports suggest that the police officers have questioned the legitimacy of the endorsement by the actresses, inquiring if the two women had made any financial investments in the company. The two actresses have not yet given a response to the reports.
Work wise, Tamannaah Bhatia and Kajal Aggarwal are set for a release of multiple movies in 2025-2026. Recently, Tamannaah attended the grand teaser launch event of her Telugu movie Odela 2, which was live streamed from Mahakumbh 2025. A village and its true protector, Odela Mallanna Swamy, who defends his village from all evil forms the crux of Odela’s story.
In addition, Kajal will next appear in Sikandar, a movie starring Salman Khan along with Rashmika Mandanna, Sharman Joshi, Suniel Shetty, and Prateik Babbar. Furthermore, she is set to make a special appearance as Devi Parvati in Vishnu Manchu’s new film Kannappa.
