Jheel Mehta, best known for her portrayal of Sonu Bhide in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, is now married to Aditya Dube. They were granted a marriage license on February 17 , 2025, and previously held a wedding ceremony in December.
Yesterday, Jheel made an Instagram post in which she included footage from their registry marriage. She expressed her joy in finally being able to say, “Furthermore, I am legally married” alongside the date of their registry marriage.
Jheel Mehta's and Aditya Dube’s ivory wardrobe set the tone for their registry wedding. The couple appeared calm and collected while signing the marriage book in the presence of friends and family.
Jheel wowed in a regal red lehenga on her wedding day. The lehenga had elegant gold and light pink embroidery and ghunghroos along with exquisite threadwork which made it stand out.
Complementing the lehenga, she wore a matching sweetheart cut blouse with a double dupatta. The dupatta was intricately designed with floral patterns and beadwork, truly giving her a royal bridal look.
For those who do not know, Jheel Mehta is popularly known for playing the role of Sonu Bhide, the daughter of Aatmaram and Madhavi Bhide in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. She featured in the series from 2008 – 2012 before moving on to focus on her business career, which she has excelled at since stepping away from acting.
Jheel and Aditya Dube became engaged in January of last year and their proposal was nothing less than a scene from a fairytale movie. In an emotional moment, Aditya got down on his knee to propose. As soon as Jheel agreed, the two shared a warm embrace that then transitioned into another phase of their love story.
Their engagement video ended with the couple having fun and dancing with their friends. A few months prior, in March 20224, Jheel shared with her followers the lovely moments from her roka ceremony, further solidifying their beautiful journey together.
The couple exchanging garlands added extra charm to the celebration, making it a remarkable milestone in their journey together.
