Sultanpur: BJP candidate Praveen has won

Sultanpur, May 13 (Hindustan Times). Praveen Agarwal, BJP’s candidate for Nagar Palika Parishad won by a huge margin. Defeated his nearest rival Varun Mishra of INC by 19019 votes. Praveen Agarwal has been the chairman twice in the past as well.

There are four Nagar Panchayats including one Nagar Palika in the district. BJP has captured only two of them. One seat was won by SP and one seat by BSP. Nirdal won one seat.

Praveen Agarwal has been elected as the Chairman for the third time. He defeated INC candidate Varun Mishra by 19019 votes. Praveen Aggarwal got 27414 votes, Congress’s Varun 8542, SP’s Manu 8227 votes.

BJP candidate Anand Jaiswal of Kadipur Nagar Panchayat has been declared victorious by 71 votes. Anand Jaiswal got 2198 votes. Nirdal Prabhuraj got 2127 votes in second place. Nirdal Vijayabhan got 1470 votes. Thus he has won by 71 votes.

Independent candidate Avnish Kumar Singh alias Angad Singh for the post of Lambhua Nagar Panchayat president won by 1183 votes from his nearest rival Atendra.

BSP candidate Rubina Khatun defeated BJP candidate Seema Sahu by 68 votes for the chairperson post of Nagar Panchayat Koiripur. In Dostapur Nagar Panchayat, SP candidate Shakuntala Devi has won by 941 votes. He defeated the BJP candidate.Hindustan News / Dayashankar
