UP: Illegal arms factory busted in Banda, accused arrested with 12 country-made pistols

In Banda, UP, the police is on full alert mode regarding the Lok Sabha elections. Continuous checking campaigns are being carried out to ensure that there is no mistake anywhere. During checking in the district, the police has busted an illegal country-made pistol manufacturing factory. One accused has also been arrested from the spot, from whose possession a dozen finished and unfinished pistols and cartridges have been recovered. 

The police have sent the accused to jail. The accused said that he sells a pistol for 5 to 7 thousand rupees, he has already been jailed twice for making illegal pistols. This time the SP has ordered action under the Gangster Act and investigation of the property and confiscation.

According to Banda police, during the Lok Sabha elections, the accused Ramdin alias Pappu was illegally manufacturing pistols in his house. When Superintendent of Police Ankur Agarwal got the information, on his orders, police station in-charge Rishidev Singh and SOG in-charge reached the spot, where they were stunned to see the huge stock of illegal weapons. A dozen finished pistols, half-finished ones, barrels along with manufacturing equipment and live cartridges were recovered from there. The police registered a case against the accused, arrested him and sent him to jail. 

SP Ankur Agarwal said that elections are going on here, in the same sequence, the team of Kamasin police station and SOG has exposed an illegal arms factory. One accused has been arrested from the spot, 7 finished pistols of .315 bore, some half-finished pistols and a large number of items have also been recovered from his possession. After interrogating the accused, whoever he has supplied the weapons to, will be traced and action will be taken against him as well. The property of the accused will be investigated under the Gangster Act and it will be confiscated.
