Lucknow, May 17 (Hindustan Times). State Urban Development and Energy Minister A.K. Sharma said that strict action will be taken against officials who harass electricity consumers and who show delay and hesitance in solving their problems.

He said that customers are being harassed for small and big problems. This is a serious situation and it is also tarnishing the image of the department. Said that this will not be tolerated anymore. He directed the MDs of all discoms to take strict action against the officials and employees concerned in such cases.

Energy Minister AK Sharma was holding a state-level public hearing for redressal of consumer grievances under Sambhava at Shakti Bhavan on Wednesday. During the public hearing, he spoke virtually to the complainants and also took their responses. In the public hearing, he resolved 20 serious complaints pending over the years from various districts of the state, including serious cases like power connection, electricity bill confusion, no electricity, private tubewell connection, bills coming without connection, power connection. return..

The Power Minister received from the IGRS the resolution of the 14-year-old problem of Lakhimpurkheri complainant Anni Khan, a complaint line of non-payment of damages due to fire in the house due to power cut in 2009, which was resolved. The customer thanked the minister for this and expressed his happiness over the resolution of such an old problem.

Power Minister AK Sharma, in a departmental review, directed the officials to complete the work on the ground soon, so that maximum consumers can benefit from it. He reviewed the RDSS scheme, revenue collection, electrification, overload transformer, feeder extension, status of electrification in newly built establishments, power supply etc.

He instructed to set up effectively managed call centers in all districts to contact outstanding customers for recovery. It instructed to carry out effective checking to prevent power theft, timely trimming of tree branches touching wires to prevent interruption of uninterrupted power supply and tripping. Chairman M.
