During an episode of The Kapil Sharma Show in 2016, Shah Rukh Khan, in a very funny yet heartwarming moment, explained the mixed accent of his youngest child, AbRam. The Bollywood King further elaborated on how the child’s accent is developed due to the numerous languages spoken around him. While doing that, he affectionately referred to AbRam as a “truly patriotic” boy.
“To AbRam I would say ‘ le lo AbRam, aap agar south Indian aur thoda Marathi, baat karte ho,'” he said, “But with a Marathi accent of course.”
Delicately portraying the struggles of a South Indian child, Shahrukh paid homage using the accent. He hoped that one day “that child will realize it is a multi-lingual country.”
He, further elaborated that, “Everyone in the family speaks in a different language, so it’s understandable that AbRam’s accent resembles a patchwork of all those languages. The point is, he is a perfect Indian and budding global citizen who combines many aspects of India into one.”
In addition the actor also gave a prior statement,” Once I heard a friend’s son talk. To my surprise he said: ‘Papa papa, this is very heavy,’ and I have to appreciate him because the accent is indeed creative,” which made the audience break into laughter.
Kapil Sharma jokingly pointed out while asking Shah Rukh: “There’s one thing I wish for from all of the country—please make sure AbRam learns the right Hindi. It would be so funny if Shah Rukh Khan's son spoke flawless South Indian but not Hindi.”
AbRam, who was born on 2013 through surrogacy, would attend IPL matches with his father and was introduced to the public as a little toddler. This endearing discovery of Shah Rukh Khan not just reveals the son’s smile, but also the wonderful and diversely progressive environment that they are living in.
