Building on the momentum generated by female shooters on the opening day of competition, the trio of Rudrankksh Patil, Himanshu Dhillon, and Parth Mane showcased exceptional precision to aggregate a combined total of 1890.1 points, sealing second place on the podium. The Chinese contingent—represented by Sheng Lihao, Ma Sihan, and Zhang Changhong—clinched the gold medal after amassing a world-record qualification score of 1899.0 points, while South Korea settled for bronze with a distant tally of 1841.4 points.
Rudrankksh and Himanshu Advance to Individual Final Round
In addition to the team silver, India achieved a significant individual breakthrough as two shooters punched their tickets to the eight-man individual medal round. Rudrankksh Patil led the Indian charge during the grueling qualification phase, claiming third position with an impressive score of 631.8. Himanshu Dhillon placed seventh with an aggregate of 630.0, securing his berth in the individual final, while Parth Mane finished tenth with 628.3 points. China's Sheng Lihao set an Asian Games qualification record with 635.4 points to lead the field, followed by compatriot Ma Sihan in second; fifth-placed Zhang Changhong missed out on the final due to the two-athletes-per-country cap, paving the way for a high-octane individual medal showdown.

On Sunday, Olympian Elavenil Valarivan claimed individual silver in the women's 10m Air Rifle with a final tally of 252.4 points, while the women's rifle squad clinched a silver medal in the team event. With the men's trio adding another silver to the country's growing tally, India's rifle squad has firmly established itself as a frontrunner across both team and individual shooting events in Japan.
