Shweta Tiwari, the renowned actress from the Indian television industry, recently revealed her amusing reason for wanting a son after having her daughter, Palak Tiwari. In a light-hearted interview with Pinkvilla, Shweta shared a funny story involving Palak’s extravagant shopping habits, which played a significant role in her decision.
Palak’s Lavish Shopping and Shweta’s Humorous Realization
Shweta, who rose to fame with her iconic role in Kasautii Zindagii Kay, is also the proud mother of Reyansh, born in 2016. During the interview, Shweta fondly recalled the time when she was pregnant with Reyansh while Palak was 16 years old. She shared an incident on Palak’s 16th birthday when her daughter went on a shopping spree and bought makeup products worth Rs 1 lakh 80 thousand, with individual eyeshadows priced at Rs 7,000 to Rs 8,000.
Defending herself with a smile, Palak explained, “To be fair, I really researched.”
Shweta, amused by the situation, humorously admitted, “I can’t afford so much. I cannot have another daughter,” making light of the financial burden of raising a daughter with such luxurious tastes.
A Strong Mother-Daughter Bond
Despite the humorous moment, Shweta and Palak share a remarkably close relationship, often described as more of a friendship than a typical mother-daughter dynamic. Palak fondly remembered calling Shweta “didi” during her childhood days because of her youthful appearance.
Palak’s Growing Bollywood Career
Palak, who has been making waves in Bollywood, gained recognition with her performance in Harrdy Sandhu’s hit song Bijlee Bijlee and later made her Bollywood debut in Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, where her acting was widely appreciated.
Shweta’s Continued Success in Television and Film

Despite the humorous anecdotes and playful moments, Shweta and Palak’s relationship exemplifies a strong, supportive bond between mother and daughter.
