In retaliation for the barbaric terrorism incident in Pahalgam which murdered 26 individuals, security forces on Friday destroyed the homes of five Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists in different regions of Jammu and Kashmir. The conduct of these exercises in Shopian, Kulgam, and Pulwama imply that there is a firmer response to terrorist activities in the region.
Major Terrorists Assessed in Shopian, Kulgam and Pulwama
The residence of Shahid Ahmed Kuttey,who has been a perpetual harbinger of militancy was bulldozed at Chotipora village, Shopian. He is said to have been coordinating anti national activities for a significant number of years.

Also, security forces canceled the home of terrorist Zahid Ahmed in the Matalam area of Kulgam.
Other demolitions also took place in Pulwama:
The home of Ahsan Ul Haq, who went to Pakistan in 2018 and was recently back to the Valley, was demolished in Murran.
A double-storey house belonging to Ehsan Ahmad Sheikh, an operational LeT active since June 2023, was also dismantled.
Another pulwama house in Kachipora belonging to Haris Ahmad, who has been actively terrorist since 2023, was also demolished.
Cumulative Actions Directed At Suspects From Pahalgam Attack
The day prior, security forces had preemptively undertook the demolitions of the houses of Adil Hussain Thoker and Asif Sheikh, both identified to be the prime suspects of the Pahalgam attack.The assault on Pahalgam on Tuesday sparked the interest of many as Pahalgam came under siege as multiple terrorists opened shooting at Baisaran Valley killing 26 people (one of which included a Nepali foreign national) also injuring many others.
In response to the incident, a coordinated large-scale search and seizure was initiated by the Army, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), and Jammu and Kashmir Police, which contained the attack routes sealing off large areas saturated with attacker activity.
