Challa Srinivasulu Setty aka CS Setty took over as the new chairman of the country’s largest bank, State Bank of India (SBI), on Wednesday. Setty expressed his commitment to making the largest public sector lender the most valuable financial institution. According to Bhasha’s news, he said that he would also try to increase the net profit of the bank.

According to the news, the new chairman of SBI said that this is India’s decade. Immediately after taking charge, Sethi assured the employees that every effort would be made to make SBI the best bank in the country. In his message, he said that as of today, SBI serves more than 50 crore customers. Sethi said that the bank is leading in the market in various product categories.

Our global rankings have improved rapidly

Expressing gratitude to his predecessors (former chairmen), he said that since the beginning of this decade, our global ranking among banks in terms of market capitalization has risen 35 places from 52 to 17. Setty said that now it is our turn to move forward on this basis and make SBI the best bank in the country. Challa Srinivasulu Setty took over as the Chairman of the State Bank of India (SBI) on Wednesday. CS Setty has replaced Dinesh Khara. Khara retired from the bank’s services at the end of business hours on Tuesday. Setty was earlier the senior-most Managing Director of SBI.

Started career in 1988

59-year-old Setty, who started his career as a probationary officer in SBI in 1988, has now taken over the top post in the country’s largest bank. Challa Srinivasulu Setty is often described as a soft-spoken, versatile, and popular person among the people. He is also a solid banker who has experience in almost all major verticals in the public sector bank.
