The Reason Salman Khan Didn’t Accept Mannat’s Offer: The Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan alongside his wife, Gauri Khan, purchased their house Mannat 24 years back in the year 2001, which has become a symbol of their triumph in Mumbai. The bungalow is placed in Bandra, Mumbai and thousands of fans gather to view it daily. Not only is Mannat the residence of Shahrukh Khan, but is also regarded as one of the most iconic bungalows in Bollywood.
However, very few people are aware of the fact that this bungalow was originally offered to Salman Khan, and he turned it down. After this, Shahrukh purchased it, turning it into his dream house. Salman Khan himself disclosed in an interview why he did not purchase this luxurious bungalow. He stated that he was offered this house at the early stages of his career and he told his father, Salim Khan about this offer.
While recalling, he said that when he discussed this offer with his father Salim Khan, he posed the question, “What will you do with such a big house.” Afterwards Salman was not able to respond to his question and that is the reason why he did not purchase it. He said jokingly that now he needs to ask Shahrukh Khan what does he do in such a big house. Salman and Shahrukh are known to get along well which thereafter gives credibility to this claim.
Mannat will undergo refurbishment
As per media sources, Shahrukh Khan and his family are at the moment contemplating moving out of Mannat. Relocation appears to be the outcome of the fact that big renovation work is going to be done in the bungalow. In their loving care, Shahrukh and Gauri have fashioned this bungalow of theirs and they continually make renovations to it over time.
